OUR VISION
Spirit Kindred Women's Medicine Gathering is a weekend long celebration of Plant Medicine, Song, Dance, Ceremony, & Women Sharing Knowledge & Building Community. Spirit Kindred started in 2021 from a desire to connect with magic women, plant medicine practitioners, and sister allies to strengthen and enrich our communities by sharing our gifts & creating lasting bonds! We aim to create a safe & sacred feeling space to gather and heal, not only ourselves, but also our planet. We have managed to find some of the most wonderful, feminine teachers & musicians from all parts of this world to come together and offer their wisdom and medicine to us. This is more than just an herbal gathering-This is a space dedicated to sharing and educating about different cultures, beliefs, and ideas. A place for powerful women to gather and celebrate in song, dance, and creation! Our goal is that when you leave here, you have a medicine bag full of lessons that help you navigate both the outside world and your own inner landscape. Though our daily lives may be full of constant movement may we always find serenity in the peace we feel among our fellow sisters and tribe. Bless Up to all! Class:Sound Bath Kundalini Yoga
SUNDAY BOX ELDER TENT 8:00AM-9:00
Kundalini Yoga is a unique form of yoga that centers on the spiritual dimensions of yoga. It is called the yoga of awareness.
It fosters soul-to-Spirit connection, higher levels of consciousness, strengthens and repatterns the nervous system, and brings us back to wholesomeness.
Kundalini awakens more self-awareness. It involves somatic releasing, trauma healing support, inner-fulfillment, balance, joy, and a greater sense of health and vitality. This is accomplished by a combination of specific movements and postures (asanas), breath (pranayama), mantras and intentional movement and stillness. These practices support the transmuting of subtle densities stored in the body, clearing channels to allow fresh-flowing life force energy that already lives inside of you!
We will be practicing specific kriya’s (yoga sequence) that support hyper-awareness of our field, balancing our chakra’s, transmuting old belief systems, and grounding in new paradigms. Sound bath included.
Laura Bauer is a Holistic Nurse and Kundalini Yoga Instructor with a Trauma Informed Yoga Certification. She is a retreat leader and woman’s facilitator on her private retreat healing space called Creek Retreat. She is also certified in Sound Healing and Reiki. She is fervent soul-searcher who is passionate about whole body, mind & spirit health and wellness, travel, healing, personal development, and a nature lover who loves to connect with fairy energy. Witness to Injustice / KAIROS Blanket Exercise™
Syracuse, New York
FRIDAY BOX ELDER TENT 12:30PM-3:30PM
Fifteen years ago, the Aboriginal Rights Coalition in Canada worked with Indigenous elders and teachers to develop an interactive way of learning the history most are never taught. The Blanket Exercise was the result; it has since been offered thousands of times. Neighbors of the Onondaga Nation (NOON) have worked closely with KAIROS Canada and members of the Onondaga Nation to adapt the exercise to teach the experiences of Indigenous Peoples impacted by the United States.
The Blanket Exercise uses Indigenous methodologies and aims to build an understanding of our shared history as Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples by walking through pre-contact, treaty-making, colonization and resistance. Everyone is actively involved as they step onto blankets representing the land and into the role of First Nations Peoples. By engaging emotionally and intellectually, the Blanket Exercise effectively educates and increases empathy & respect.
This is a unique interactive educational experience. It uses participatory practices to share the disturbing history of what Indigenous Peoples have suffered through colonization. The program seeks to foster truth, understanding, and respect between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in the part of the world now known as the United States; especially in the territory stewarded by people of the Onondaga Nation and other Haudenosaunee peoples.
Through the use of meaningful quotes and blankets that represent part of Turtle Island (the Western Hemisphere), we explore this shared history that non-native people rarely learn in school or other settings. The Exercise helps participants deepen their understanding about the European colonization of Turtle Island, learning through the eyes of our Indigenous neighbors. It details the denial of Indigenous peoples’ nationhood throughout U.S. history up to the present time. After the Witness to Injustice Exercise, participants have the opportunity to share with the group what they learned, felt, etc., and, resources are shared by facilitators to help participants continue to learn more.
We hope this program stimulates deep discussion and reflection, and points the way toward ongoing steps to address the grievous wrongs which have been done to Indigenous Peoples. Join Neighbors of the Onondaga Nation (NOON) and Haudenosaunee facilitators as we participate in learning and dialogue through this exercise.

Aurora Raven Dragonfly aka Julie Anne-The basis of my teaching is gleaned from over 34 years of practice based in Germanic, Dianic, Gardnerian and ultimately Reclaiming witchcraft. I have led and participated in many covens over the years; The Circle of the Rising Phoenix, Sacred Daughters of Her, and Reclaiming the Radiant Wild. I did a green witch intensive for a year with Susan Weed and have taught workshops at witch camps, organized for VWC and was on the World Witch Council as a representative for VWC.
Some of my teachers are Judith Jannberg, Lucia Francia, Angelika Aliti, Susan Weed, Starhawk, Pat Harmatuk and many more. The Goddess, though, has been my greatest teacher and mentor. I love working with people, dance and co-creating magical experiences. I also love gardening, writing and music

Sarah Brianna, Soul Coach, has dedicated her life to creating spaces where women can learn to empower themselves. As a Shamanic Energy Healer, Yoga & Meditation Teacher, and Soul Coach, Sarah's mission is to guide women to empower themselves, become their own healers, and tap into untamed self love. Sarah partners with women who show up willing to commit to an open-hearted discovery process and engage with whatever shows up. This paves the way towards women having full access to their power, resources to handle life’s consistent ups and downs, and love themselves along the journey. That takes courage and self compassion, two qualities Sarah embodies.
Sarah’s work focuses on balance of mind, body and soul. As a holistic practitioner, she emphasizes unity and connection to treat all parts of your being equally. There is no separation between your mind, body and spirit. When we work on one together, we are working on all parts. Therefore all parts of your experience are teachers on the path and welcomed into this space. Addressing it anywhere impacts it everywhere. Sarah is known as a shadow worker, someone who can support women who show up willing to face their fears especially in the areas that are unseen or in the subconscious. When women show up willing to confront what's in the shadow they are able to access their own untamed power and become a true unstoppable force of nature.
Sarah stands for protecting the planet and all the souls inhabiting it. As an earth honoring practitioner, Sarah creates spaces where women can nurture their connection with Mother Earth and tap into her healing energy. Sarah is passionate about women's rights and sovereignty. She believes all of life is a valuable experience and all beings should be given the dignity of their own journey. Who were you before you learned how to exist in this society? Who were you before the patriarchy told you how to be? Let’s get in touch with that untamed woman. This means Sarah’s approach to support is a stand for you to step into your own healing power and learn to take ownership of your own magic. As a true feminist, she feels called to rise up and bring other women with her. This is what she stands for and calls in women who will stand with her.

CLASS !: Values Embodiment & Vision Board
SUNDAY REISHI TENT 3:15PM-4:30PM
Personal values are a central part of who you are and who you want to be. Values lie in your personal nonnegotiables. By learning how to identify, access and embody these vital forces, you can use them to guide decision making and call upon them to influence difficult situations or events that might otherwise cause concern & worry. When you live life in alignment with your personal values, one gains confidence, happiness and success just as when our lives don't align with our values, we're often feeling stuck, depressed, overwhelmed. Deep down, our values are the ultimate measures we can use to tell if our life is turning out the way we want it to.
During this session, Amber will guide you through a visualization exercise to become more conscious and name (or recommit to) your personal values. She will also help you learn how to call upon them to guide decision making and how to embody them in action as you walk in the world. We will create values vision boards that can be called upon after our retreat and serve as tangible reminders of the need to consciously call upon our values each and every day. Amber will also be available to help integrate or provide confidential, complimentary coaching sessions for retreat participants throughout the weekend.
Amber is a facilitator, change agent, connector, adventurous single mama, intuitive guide and a certified executive coach (ACC, International Coaching Federation). Amber helps others uncover and harness their strengths, values, and authentic leadership styles to achieve business and personal goals. With training/certification in the 15 Comittments of Conscious Leadership, A Course in Miracles, Strengths Finder, Shamanic journeying, Emotional Intelligence (eqi2.0), LMAP260, Positive Intelligence(PQi), Learning Bridge and many others, Amber provides leadership, consulting, coaching and faciliation during her day job as the Director of Human Resources for Cornell Engineering and also leads individual and group retreats in various spaces, dedicated to healing within "systems."
Amber's coaching style is rooted in authenticity, openness, intuition, and warmth, but she's not afraid to challenge others directly with the hard questions that can change the game for them—questions that build confidence, influence, and impact in the world. Amber has learned that living in true abundance and revealing her authentic self is connected to her strengths as a servant leader and intuitive guide, offering direct communication, curiosity, compassion and presence as she hold space and engage others to help them reveal their own path.

Class: FAMILY CONSTELLATIONS
SUNDAY LAVENDER TENT 11:00 AM-12:15PM
What happens in a Family Constellation?
Someone identifies a personal issue – relationship, business, children, family or health – and selects group members to represent family members or aspects of the situation. The positioning and the representatives help reveal dynamics within the family system, as representatives mysteriously take on characteristics of what needs to be seen in the field of consciousness. The facilitator notices and points out patterns, helping the focus client to restore respect, dignity and love, especially for those who’ve been excluded or forgotten. As reconciliation is achieved, the genuine love and strength in the family can begin to flow. Each person who attends a constellation session, whether participant, focus client or observer, can experience the profound effects of this shift.
You'll walk away with greater understanding of how your struggles are rooted in family dynamics. You'll release family burdens, gain greater freedom from old patterns, and strengthen connections. Family Constellations create movements of the soul where previously people felt stuck. Whether it's broken intimacy, financial failure, self-sabotage, illnesses or career struggles. These problems are rooted in family wounds and this is what Family Constellations heal.
What if I don't know what problem I wish to address?
People who attend a group constellation session may participate in several ways:
Some simply observe.
Some serve as representatives, agreeing to stand in for family members or aspects that relate to the issue that is to be explored.
A person may volunteer to “work,” having identified an issue that he or she is ready to address.

Class 1: DECOLONIZING WHITE FEMINISM
SATURDAY REISHI TENT 1:30PM-2:45PM
Decolonizing White Feminism What is white feminism and why is it harmful? How is the colonial paradigm expressed in our behaviors and emotions? What signals from our larger intelligence have we been taught to ignore? Why do we appropriate cultures and what can we do about it? Please join me in this vulnerable and necessary space while we scratch the surface of what it means to decolonize as white women. There is a palpable need for us to come together in circle and have an honest conversation about how to address the harm we perpetuate, consciously or unconsciously, on the world and our own beings. It is my hope we walk away from this space with more possibility and actionable steps, such as herbs to use in place of plants sacred to indigenous people, to take in to our daily life. We all have a rich lineage to tap into, and a matriarchal medicine to bring to the table. As women and healers we are being called to push beyond the wall of imperial patriarchy and remember who we are. It is a lifelong journey full of love, discomfort, and dispelling shame. Bring your tender hearts and strong spine.

Class 2: DEEP NERVOUS SYSTEM RESET THROUGH POSTPARTUM PRACTICES
SUNDAY LAVENDER TENT 1:45PM-3:00PM
Deep Nervous System Reset Through Postpartum Practices This session is for everyone! Together we will explore the importance of community through the lens of postpartum care. We are physiologically designed to need each other, as our health and vitality are inherently linked to the quality of community support we receive. A key for us to step from a culture of survival into a thriving people is to create environments that facilitate the development of healthy nervous systems. The postpartum period offers us a great opportunity for this work. Here in the United States, most new mothers and families do not receive proper postpartum care, which gives rise to physical and mental illness. Coming together to ensure the health and vitality of our postpartum families is a critical element in this Great Turning toward thriving life. Join me as we explore the impact that the reclamation and application of proper postpartum care will have on the world. Throughout the weekend I will be offering deep nervous system resets to those who wish to participate in that medicine. It is not necessary that you have birthed a human child to participate.
Sunday September 10th 11-12:15pm @ Lavender Tent
Kathleen is a mother of three children ages 24, 12, and 10, which she considers her highest credential. After graduating from the University of Michigan with a BA in English Lit, she continued to educate herself through intensive trainings and life experience that truly fed her. Kathleen's current official title is Professional Childbirth Consultant, Family Advocate, and Herbal Educator. Those close to her call her a Community Witch, but she prefers the term "Strega" as is in alignment with her Italian lineage. Putting her money where her mouth is, Kathleen has invested time and resource into her own therapy and inner work equivalent to an academic degree. Her education includes various doula trainings, the most impactful having been with Whapio of The Matrona. Kathleen is an alumni of the herbal apprenticeship program at Heartstone Center for Earth's Essentials, completed Aviva Romm's invaluable Herbal Medicine for Women course, and is currently diving into the wealth of information offered by The School of Evolutionary Herbalism. She is also a trained Montessori Teacher and a Certified Innate Postpartum Care Provider. Kathleen believes that honoring the physiology of the pregnant, birthing, and postpartum body is a key to our healing as a culture, and that this physiologic map can be found held by indigenous people and the culture keepers that reconnect us with our relationship to the planet and source. If you ask Kathleen what is her passion she will say, "villaging, because this is where we need to return."

Learning about the human body and how it functions better with eating Whole Foods and utilizing herbs in our everyday life. She gathered together a circle of people to learn from Roasemary Gladstar’s “Science and Art of Herbalism.” Not being enough, Rochelle Mae treks to Sage Mountain to learn from Rosemary Glaadstar and Rocio Alcarón.
After moving to Maine in 2016 Rochelle published an article on cannabis in Essential Herbal Magazine. THURSDAY BOX ELDER TENT 2:30PM-4:00PM
Andrea Reisen is the co-creator of a 30-acre farm is located in the hamlet of Wallace, near Avoca, in the beautiful Finger Lakes of western New York. The farm is a dream come true for her family.
Their collective goal has always been to live a simple, gentle, fun-filled life on the land, raising a family in harmony with all of creation. They have been blessed to be caretakers of this land since 1982, raising our five children here, and now two of our grandchildren live here with their Mom and Uncle Bill. We believe by working the land organically and biodynamically, being in rhythm with the land, we are able to harvest the very finest quality, high-energy medicinal herbs. We make teas, tinctures (extracts), salves, creams, infused oils, liniment, and flower essences with these herbs. Andrea and her husband, Matthias believe- We take care of the land and the land takes care of us."
The plant world offers us an abundant array of gifts allowing us to take ownership of our own healing. These gifts don’t just apply to our physical selves however, the healing energy of plants also affects our emotional, mental, and spiritual selves. Plants have been used for centuries to enhance spirituality and our awareness of our connection to all life. Used properly herbs can become cherished travel companions as you walk your sacred path.
"The plants really do love us. They want to take care of us. They want to help us. They just wait for us to come. They open this store-house of health for us, that we can't even imagine."

Through a combination of stained-glass-like tapestries, draped fabric in a wide variety of colors, altars, and interactive elements, this space reclaims queerness as divine. Especially in the current political climate which often reduces queer and especially trans folks to very limited and often negative storylines, we desperately need nuanced sanctuaries for exploration, growth, renewal, healing, and re-story-ation.A grounding ritual with poems, prayers, and songs.

SACRED EMBODIMENT WITH CACAO
THURSDAY TEMPLE STAGE 2:30PM-4:30PM
Release, remember and receive: we each carry a soul song composed from the rituals, stories and memories that began long before we were born. In this workshop we will clearly identify our road blocks from living in our fullest expression, the legacy we lead from the thousands of ancestors that came before us and the routine practices (aka rituals) we get to embody in sharing our “best work” and receiving the best of what our lives have to offer. With the support of sustainably grown “ceremonial grade*” cacao, we will move towards clarity, centeredness and connection in this session. *part of this workshop will explore what it is to be “sacred,” “ritualistic” or “ceremonial.
Ava has spent the past 7 years studying cacao and living in the lower Peruvian Amazon. Her journey with cacao started with a profound love for nature and desire to help heal cacao’s relationship with the earth (chocolate is one of the leading causing of agricultural deforestation in cacao-fertil lands such as Peru). This lead her to open a center of investigation and wellness retreat center surrounding cacao and it’s many socio-environmental influences, both ancient and modern—including what she calls a “mesmerizing” and deep dive into cacao’s therapeutic and medicinal uses today. She looks forward to sharing her story and a few exciting secrets about the transformative power of quality cacao that could change your relationship to chocolate forever.
